Bridget is pleased to offer individual therapy for people ages 14 and over. She is also happy to work with families in whatever shape they come. This may look like meeting with parents only or including children, step-parents or other important figures in the family or a combination thereof. The family system can be complicated and requires a tailored approach that may look different for each person/family that engages in counseling.

CO-PARENTING COUNSELING & EDUCATION
Being co-parents is very different than parenting as a couple. The types of skills needed are not intuitive and often require quite a bit of creativity and change in thought process. Bridget has years of personal and professional experience in creating healthy co-parenting relationships that focus on the needs of the children. Her approach blends education about what is healthy for children and parents as well as real-time practice and new ideas.

COURT-ORDERED CHILD CUSTODY EVALUATIONS
Bridget has a passion to ensure that the best interest of children remains the center of decision-making efforts in custody and parenting planning. These evaluations must be ordered by the Court with jurisdiction over the custody proceedings. These evaluations are thorough and typically are complete within 8 weeks of initiation.

ADOPTION HOME STUDIES
Bridget has nearly two decades of experience assessing family strengths and needs. She has experience in completing adoption home studies within the child welfare system as well as privately. She values her belief that families come in all different shapes and sizes and is an advocate that every child deserves a family that loves them unconditionally and can provide for their safety and security. Just because a family is not “traditional” does not mean they are not capable of loving and providing for a family of their own.
